Potrebbe venirci in aiuto l\u2019unit\u00e0 funzionale degli organismi viventi: la cellula. Le cellule del sistema immunitario umano, ad esempio, sono capaci di raggiungere distretti corporei remoti deformandosi attraverso spazi ristretti e con geometrie complesse. A tale comportamento si ispira CELLOIDS, un progetto europeo con l\u2019obiettivo di realizzare microrobot intelligenti, in grado di muoversi nei tessuti imitando le capacit\u00e0 dei globuli bianchi.<\/p><p>Con un involucro ispirato alle membrane cellulari e un corpo liquido contenente uno sciame di particelle in grado di auto-propellersi e riprodurre comportamenti collettivi tipici di alcune specie animali, i <em>celloidi<\/em> sono progettati per navigare autonomamente all\u2019interno di ambienti complessi, deformandosi e rispondendo a stimoli locali ed esterni. Con tali abilit\u00e0, questi dispositivi rappresenterebbero uno strumento innovativo per rendere la medicina ancora pi\u00f9 precisa e meno artificiale, la robotica sociale, le tecnologie di editing genico, l\u2019ingegneria climatica, le auto a guida autonoma, solo per citarne alcune. Queste tecnologie promettono nuovi tipi di benefici, ma possono anche introdurre rischi individuali e sociali senza precedenti. Pertanto, \u00e8 fondamentale valutare come questi progressi tecnologici possano essere allineati con i valori e i bisogni umani. L\u2019intervento presenta l\u2019approccio del design sensibile ai valori (Value Sensitive Design) e esplora come questo approccio possa essere in grado di supportare una maggior comprensione della dinamica interazionale tra fattori sociali e tecnici, cos\u00ec come di promuovere la libert\u00e0 e la responsabilit\u00e0 morale umana in un\u2019epoca di crescente significato di cura, alla relazione medico-paziente, e alla progettazione di Socially Assistive Robots (SARs), cio\u00e8 robots socialmente interattivi destinati a fornire assistenza all\u2019utente attraverso l\u2019interazione sociale. Recentemente, numerosi studi hanno riconosciuto il ruolo dell\u2019etica della cura come base teorica fondamentale per lo sviluppo di tali sistemi. Tuttavia, questi approcci sembrano trascurare il ruolo che alcuni principi etici orientativi possono avere nella progettazione di SARs, specialmente nella promozione di valori come la fiducia e la solidariet\u00e0 nelle relazioni di cura.
